All students should apply for UROP fellowships for the fall and spring. Applying for summer research assistantships is optional and encouraged. The spring research symposium is a great opportunity to practice presenting your ideas. Think of it as a glimpse at your future career. No matter what you do, you'll need to communicate information in the workplace.
